发布时间:2022-03-29
According to customs statistics, total PE imports from January to February 2022 amounted to approximately 2.2179 million tons, a decrease of 13.46% compared to the same period last year. Among these, LDPE (tariff code 39011000) imports reached about 482,200 tons, down 11.47% year-on-year; HDPE (tariff code 39012000) imports totaled roughly 1.0135 million tons, marking a 7.64% decline from the previous year; and LLDPE (tariff code 39014020) imports stood at around 722,200 tons, a significant drop of 21.59% compared to the same period last year. During the period around the Spring Festival holiday, downstream industries maintained low operating rates, further weakening domestic demand absorption capacity. Meanwhile, energy prices remained strong, with U.S. dollar-denominated prices higher than domestic ones. Additionally, ongoing shipping challenges have widened supply-demand gaps in certain regions, contributing to the persistently low volume of PE imported into China.
